Bilotta

John Bilotta has been part of the fine arts computer graphics
faculty as an adjunct instructor since 1991. He is also, in part, responsible
for the maintenance and updating of the computer lab equipment.
After graduating from California State University, Los
Angeles in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Applied Arts, emphasize
in Graphic Design, John spent four years as an Art Director in the graphic
design industry.
Besides his position at Cypress College, John is presently
the master printer for Nash Editions, a fine art digital printmaking
studio founded by Graham Nash and located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

Ian Holmes

Ian Holmes, full- time faculty instructor of Computer Graphics,
has been an art teacher for 15 years. His duties at Cypress College
include teaching 2D computer graphics, Web Publishing, 2D Computer Animation
and 3D Computer Modeling and Animation.
Ian's professional experience includes commercial photography
for advertising publication and web design. His company Holmes Media
Group designs web sites, graphics and multimedia presentations.
Ian earned a B.F.A. in Commercial Photography in 1981 from
Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, CA and worked towards an
M.F.A. at Cal State Los Angeles. He also earned a Teaching Credential
in Fine Art in 1987 from Cal State Los Angeles.
Ed Giardina

M.F.A. Vermont College
Ed Giardina is an interdisciplinary artist, teacher, and curator who
lives and works in the Los Angeles area. His interests include media
theory, social design, and tactical media. Ed is an Assistant Professor
in the Art Department here at Cypress College where he is working with
students in the Advertising &
Graphic Design Program and the Art Computer Graphics Program. He is
a member of Finishing School, an art, activism and design collective.
Their work investigates the many intersections between critical, covert,
and common subject territories. All of their projects attempt to demystify
cultural production and engage viewers into various participatory models.
Ed holds a BFA degree from California State
University, Fullerton and a MFA from Vermont College.

Michael Johnson

Michael has been teaching for 26 years. In 1983 he founded
the Art Computer Graphics Lab and its associated curriculum at Cypress
College. He teaches 2D computer graphics classes which include Digital
Imaging, Electronic Paint and Introduction to Computer Graphics. In
addition, he is the manager in charge of all oversight and planning
for Art Computer Graphics courses and facilities. He is a founding member
of the Multimedia Consortium of Cypress College.
Michael's primary interest is in fine art making. He has
been exhibited and collected at the Los Angeles County Museum or Art,
the Orange County Museum of Contemporary Art, the Smithsonian Museum
as well as in galleries and museums in Asia, Japan England, France,
and Germany.
Michael has been part of the development teams for Adobe
Software, Aldus Software, Microsoft Software and Ulead Software. Together
with his wife Francis, he operates a commercial design business that
services various clients including the Irvine Company.
