The ACG (Art Computer Graphics) Department here Cypress
College is the computer graphics design arm of the Visual Arts Department.
Our classes instruct students in art and design by teaching the use
of the computer and its applications. In preparing our students for
the industries that hire individuals from a program like ours we have
developed a unique system offering both Windows and Macintosh computers
for student use in our computer lab. Prospective employees will find
both Windows and Apple Macintosh computers being used by art, design
and publishing companies.
Students in Art Computer Graphics classes may choose from
a variety of paths to satisfy their artistic goals and career choices.
The ACG department provides both stand alone classes for students interested
in getting their feet wet in the digital art arena and a range of classes
that feed into a well developed set of certificates. These certificates
may be attractive to working professionals looking for career advancement
or for students interested in transferring to a four-year university.

images for two dimensional print media, 3D computer modeling, 3D computer
animation, and web design. In addition, the skills acquired in
Art Computer Graphics fold into the other areas of multimedia as offered
